These Sellers have been long time clients of ours so when the husband found a new job in California so began our 5th transaction together.
Their home was a beautiful remodeled Craftsman in the popular Green Lake/Phinney Ridge neighborhood. And even though they have great taste, preparing a home for the market is all about neutralizing and appealing to the largest number of potential buyers in the market place. We started the process with assessing the home and the touchups it needed. A list of handyman fixes, furniture rearranging, de-cluttering, landscaping and a partial stage came out of our first meetings. The process began and once the home was ready and professionally cleaned and photographed we were ready to launch!
The home hit the market on a Friday and due to a heated market with few homes to choose from for buyers, our solid marketing plan, and their work to get the house looking so amazing, by Saturday we had 3 offers and by the end of the open house on Sunday we had a couple more bringing us up to a total of 5. Monday the home was pending at $15,000 over asking price and the sellers were thrilled! We walked them through the pros and cons of every offer which allowed them to make a fully informed decision on which to choose. We then led them through the rest of the transaction process with clear, concise and frequent communication. The home closed right on time and the sellers are starting their new chapter in the Bay Area!
