These buyers we have known for a long time as they are good friends of ours. They recently got married and decided it was time to buy their first place and get a little more space both indoors and out. So we met up, chatted about the process and got going on the house search.
Wanting to stay close to work in Kirkland, we focused the hunt in and around the eastside neighborhoods of Kirkland, Kenmore and Woodinville. The market was moving fast so when we found something they liked, we had to move quickly. After searching for the right property for only a few weeks, we found a contender. In Kenmore and on a large private lot, this house fit the bill. And we made our move. We came in strong with our offer in an effort to prevent these sellers from waiting for other offers and us ending up in a multiple offer situation. Never good as a buyer. And it worked! They appreciated our solid offer and that we wrote it up in the first couple of days on the market so they wouldn’t have to deal with all of the showings. We got it! After negotiating some items to be repaired on the inspection and walking our buyers through every step of the buying process, we moved through to a smooth and successful closing.
