These Sellers contacted us a year ago with thoughts of selling their Queen Anne condo. After meeting with us and going over our listing presentation and price opinion we advised them to hold onto the condo and sit tight for a while if at all possible as they would not be able to get the price they desired in our current market. We kept in touch and updated them regularly on the changes in the market. Then their life situation changed, and with both of these Sellers changing their jobs and taking positions in another state, their condo had to be sold so they could move along to their new beginnings.
When meeting to discuss price, promotion, and presentation (our “three P’s”) we gave these Sellers a list of things that they could do that would make their condo shine on the market. Paring down items, de-cluttering, painting, and basic spiffing up would do the trick. We implemented a marketing blast including flyers to agents, e-flyers, postcards, and an internet push that got the word out to buyers and agents alike that these Sellers were ready to sell! And it worked. A buyer wrote it up, it was negotiated, and we headed off to a short under 3 week closing.
Good luck with your new endeavors Tony and Janis!
