August is hands-down our favorite month for farmers markets. Washington produce is at its absolute best, and there’s nothing better than strolling the market with a coffee in hand, picking up sun-ripened peaches, fresh berries, heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn, fragrant flowers, and maybe a loaf of fresh bread (or two!)
A few of our favorite neighborhood markets are the Ballard Farmers Market, South Lake Union Farmers Market, University District Farmers Market, and, of course, the always-iconic Pike Place Market (Sosio’s is our fav veg and fruit vendor!!). Each one has its own personality, incredible local vendors, and plenty of reasons to linger.
Shopping at farmers markets is one of the easiest (and tastiest!) ways to support local farmers and small businesses while enjoying everything summer in Seattle has to offer. We hope to see you out there with a reusable bag full of fresh finds!
