June in Seattle: Peak Event Season has Arrived

June is when Seattle officially shifts into summer mode. The days get longer, the patios get busier, and nearly every weekend comes with a festival, parade, concert, or neighborhood event worth checking out. If you’re looking for reasons to get out and enjoy the city this month, here are a few can’t-miss happenings around town.

🌞 One of Seattle’s most iconic summer traditions returns June 20–21 with the Fremont Solstice Parade and Fremont Fair. Expect colorful art cars, live music, street vendors, and the wonderfully quirky energy Fremont is famous for. The parade takes place Saturday afternoon and always feels like peak Seattle in the best way possible.

🌈 June also means Pride Month celebrations all across the city. Seattle PrideFest takes over Capitol Hill and Seattle Center June 27–28 with live performances, food vendors, community events, and an incredible atmosphere throughout the weekend. The Seattle Pride Parade returns downtown on June 28 and is always one of the biggest and most joyful events of the summer.

🎬💐🍺🎵 Beyond the major festivals, June is also perfect for enjoying some of Seattle’s simpler seasonal traditions — outdoor movies, farmers markets, brewery patios, concerts at the zoo and wineries, and long evenings at the waterfront. It’s the time of year when the city feels especially alive and everyone is trying to soak up every extra minute of daylight.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to explore more of Seattle this year, June is a pretty great place to start.
