These home buyers have been great friends of ours for years. They had been living in their Seward Park bungalow for a few years when they got engaged (yay!) and decided it was the right time to purchase a new larger home together. We started the dialog and got things moving.
They love where they live so they wanted to stay in Seward Park, which is very convenient for her commute across I-90 and his to Georgetown. We connected them with a Property Manager to get their current house rented out and we moved forward with the home search. We basically saw every home in their price point from Mt. Baker to Columbia City to Seward Park and back for 4 months. Then a charming Tudor came on the market just blocks from the water and from their current home and we knew it would be the one. We rushed them over to see the home and it was love at first site. We contacted the agent listing the home right away and since they were not waiting to review offers, we submitted our strong offer on day one. And even with other offers looming, they got it! After the inspection and sewer scoping revealed some hidden problems, we were able to negotiate and get them the repairs they needed to move forward and close on their new home.
