26 heirloom homes in Discovery Park will be hitting the market later this fall.
These homes were the officer’s homes when the army base Fort Lawton was open on the site of Discovery Park. The 26 homes are part of 14 Colonial Revival buildings built in 1904 and 1905. They range from 2 bedroom duplexes to single family mansions, the most notable of which is the General’s house, a 6,000 square foot 6 bedroom home. These homes are on the National Register of Historic Places so they will be restored but with modern conveniences added. The homes, sitting on 9 acres, are nestled into Discovery Park’s 534-acre park setting boasting incredible views of the Puget Sound.
