Downtown is a thriving place to live with so many amenities to enjoy, including being close to sports at our city’s stadiums, restaurants and bars galore, theaters and art galleries and more. What is missing is a large grocery market other than Whole Foods in South Lake Union. City Target, Kress IGA and Cone and Steiner are great when you need a few items but they are not full sized grocery markets. If you don’t enjoy traveling all the way to South Lake Union to find a full sized grocery store, you are in luck, PCC is opening a 20,000 square foot flagship market in the new Rainier Square Project Downtown.
The Rainier Square Project is on the corner of 4th and Union. Above the PCC on the ground floor will be apartments and a hotel along with other retail on the street level. It should be open by 2020.
This is great news for everyone who lives in or near Downtown Seattle!
