2015 brought Seattle many new breweries to try and enjoy. Here is a list of who joined the scene last year.
Optimism: This brewery opened last month on Capitol Hill and was founded by a home brewing husband and wife team. No food will be served in the brewery but they are carving out space in their courtyard for food trucks and you are welcome to bring food in with you.
Cloudburst Brewing: The newest addition, opening this week, is a new brewery by the former experimental brewer at Elysian, who is known for using uncommon ingredients to flavor his beer creations like oyster shells or whatever is in season at Pike Place Market! This taproom won’t have food but will serve some delicious pints!
Ghostfish Brewing Company: Seattle’s only gluten-free brewery located in SoDo is redefining gluten-free beer.
Mollusk Restaurant and Brewery: Brought to you by the crew behind the now closed Epic Ales and Gastropod, this spot is open in South Lake Union and serves a unique seasonal menu along with their small scale brews. (photo of Mollusk)
Flying Bike: A co-op brewery in Greenwood, this member-owned taproom is even brewing some of its home brewer/part owner’s recipes including our friend Bob Yeaw’s award winning Airship Ale!
Lucky Envelope: Dog friendly, kid friendly, food trucks on the weekends, and beer (of course!) makes this Ballard brewery a great spot for everyone.
Holy Mountain Brewing: Housed in a garage by the railroad tracks in Interbay, Holy Mountain opened at the beginning of 2015 and has craft beers to enjoy in house as well as bottle and growler sales.
